Entrepreneurial ecosystems are often described as complex, fragmented, and opaque. For funders and policymakers, this creates a real challenge: capital is deployed without a shared understanding of who is doing what, where support is concentrated, and where structural gaps persist.
The Sweef Institute’s ecosystem maps exist to solve that problem.
They provide a clear, evidence-based view of entrepreneurial support systems so donors, governments, and ecosystem builders can make informed, strategic decisions rather than relying on partial data or informal networks.
Ecosystem mapping is a structured process of analysing organisations, institutions, and relationships that shape entrepreneurship in a specific context.
It examines key players like investors, intermediaries, service providers, corporates, government agencies, networks, and research bodies to reveal how they interact.
At the Sweef Institute, our maps combine:
- Landscape analysis of ecosystem actors and their roles
- Geographic and sectoral coverage
- The types of support offered across different stages of business growth
- Who is included, who is excluded, and why
- System-level bottlenecks that affect entrepreneur outcomes
The result is not just a directory, but a systems-level view of how entrepreneurship actually functions in practice.

Indonesia
Explore our KINETIK Sweef Indonesia map and directory to see which actors are supporting entrepreneurship, where, and how.
This interactive directory is part of a broader effort to understand and strengthen the entrepreneurial ecosystem that supports inclusive and climate-aligned business in Indonesia. It was developed by Sweef Capital through the KINETIK Sweef Entrepreneurs Program, with support from the Australian Government in partnership with the Government of Indonesia, and implemented through the Australia–Indonesia Partnership for Climate, Renewable Energy and Infrastructure (KINETIK).
This initiative maps over 300 organisations across Indonesia that provide funding, technical assistance, capacity development, and other forms of support to entrepreneurs. It is designed to:
- Improve visibility of ecosystem actors across all regions of Indonesia
- Help entrepreneurs and support organisations find relevant partners
- Enable funders and policymakers to better understand existing capacity and identify gaps
- Strengthen collaboration and knowledge sharing within the ecosystem
This interactive directory is intended as a practical tool for entrepreneurs, ecosystem support organisations, funders, and policymakers. Each profile includes information on geographic reach, sector focus, services offered, and target groups served.
Note that whole the directory will be updated periodically, the PDF report will not be, so the report and directory will not always align perfectly.
