About the Report

This report offers a comprehensive look at Indonesia’s evolving entrepreneurial landscape, with a focus on actors supporting inclusive and climate-aligned enterprise growth. Drawing on survey data from over 300 ecosystem organizations, regional convenings, and secondary research, the report identifies where support is concentrated, who is being reached, and what gaps remain for entrepreneurs working in the green economy.

Produced by Sweef Capital through the KINETIK Sweef Entrepreneurs Program, this work is part of a broader effort to strengthen the enabling environment for women-led and climate-focused enterprises in Indonesia. The program is supported by the Australian Government in partnership with the Government of Indonesia and implemented through the Australia–Indonesia Partnership for Climate, Renewable Energy and Infrastructure (KINETIK).

• 33 provide targeted support for persons with disabilities

• Funding instruments are still traditional, with debt offered nearly as often as grants, despite early-stage focus

• Activity is growing in regions such as Papua, Maluku, and Nusa Tenggara, but capacity gaps remain

• Collaboration and shared infrastructure were frequently cited as priorities for the ecosystem’s long-term success

Why This Matters

Indonesia has one of the most dynamic economies in Southeast Asia and is poised to lead in climate-aligned enterprise. Yet entrepreneurs, especially women and those outside major urban centers, continue to face barriers that limit their growth. This report surfaces practical, actionable recommendations to strengthen the support system around them, informed by the lived experiences of local actors.
