Community engagement through CSR initiatives

Corporate social responsibility is now a core management concept where companies integrate social and environmental concerns into their business operations and stakeholder interactions.

By applying an intentional gender lens to their systems, processes and activities, organisations can  expand their CSR impact while supporting women to progress their careers and access training and capital, says Brianna Losoya-Evora, Head of Impact Measurement and Management at Sweef Capital. While tracking activities is important, Huber Social Co-founder Brett Nan Tie says outputs aren’t the same as outcomes: organisations should ensure they are truly having a positive impact and put in place appropriate ways to measure improvements over time.
